Lovely 36mm Rolex Datejust dating from 1972.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the smooth bezel Datejusts. They don’t seem to come up all that often and give the watch a cleaner, sportier look than the more common fluted bezel variants.

The silver sunburst dial is in lovely condition and works perfectly with the stainless steel Oyster case and bracelet.

Understated, versatile and unmistakably Rolex.

The watch is fitted to its correct folded Oyster bracelet with 358 end links and presents beautifully for a watch now over 50 years old.

The case remains nice and strong and the bracelet is still remarkably tight although does show some signs of age which you do expect. Bracelet is around 18.5cm.

Running nicely at around +5 seconds per day with a healthy 246 degrees of amplitude and 0.0ms beat error.

A proper vintage Rolex that can still be worn and enjoyed every day without feeling precious.
