Omega Speedmaster mk40

One of my absolute faves in the Omega back catalogue.

At first glance it looks like a simple Speedmaster, but then you notice the day, date, month, 24-hour display and chronograph all squeezed into a really wearable 39mm case. They’re packed with character and offer a huge amount of watch for the money.

This is the far more limited grey ‘Schumacher’ edition.

This one is in really honest condition. The case still has nice definition, the bezel is clean and the dial is excellent with those brilliant pops of colour that make this reference so distinctive. The bracelet is also in lovely order.

It comes complete with its original Omega inner and outer boxes and is running at -3 seconds per day with a healthy 291° amplitude.

Please no there’s no warranty card which I’ve considered in the pricing.

A cracking Speedmaster that flies under the radar compared to the Moonwatch, but once you’ve owned one it’s easy to see why they’ve built such a loyal following.
